100 Ulju-gun Middle School Students from the 15th to 23rd
Science Experiments, Presentations, and Hands-on Activities Program
The UNIST Leadership Center, led by President Jongrae Park, will hold the ‘2025 Ulju-gun Science Mentoring’ program for 100 second-year middle school students in Ulju-gun from the 15th to the 23rd.
This program is operated by UNIST with funding from Ulju-gun as part of the ‘Ulju Future Education i4.0 Campus Project.’
The mentoring, conducted as a residential program, involves 28 UNIST students who participate as mentors in academics, daily life, and video support. They assist students with science classes and various experiential activities, providing close guidance throughout their daily lives.
Students develop fundamental academic skills in science, mathematics, and English classes, and cultivate creative problem-solving abilities through STEAM projects. This project integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, offering practical learning experiences based on experiments and collaboration, and helping students enhance their presentation skills.
Through this program, UNIST plans to spark students’ interest in science and technology fields and provide a practical opportunity for career exploration.
In particular, AI platform courses, field trips, and career experiences are expected to be beneficial for students to independently design their career paths and develop the necessary experiences and competencies.
A representative from the UNIST Leadership Center stated, “We hope this program stimulates students’ scientific curiosity and aids in their career planning. UNIST will continue to collaborate with Ulju-gun to consistently provide diverse educational opportunities for local youth.”
