BPA Participates in the 12th PorTech Asia Summit Held in Malaysia

Presentation of Busan Port's Automation and Smart Strategies at the PorTech Asia Summit

Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) participated in the 12th PorTech Asia Summit held in Malaysia on the 9th and 10th, presenting Busan Port's port automation and smart port strategies.

The PorTech Asia Summit is an annual event attended by major ASEAN port organizations to share key port policies by country.


The PorTech Asia Summit held in Kuala Lumpur this time was themed "Smart Green Multi-win," bringing together major port industries in the ASEAN region to discuss and share innovations and developments in the port industry in the digital era.


About 150 participants attended this event, including port management organizations from Busan Port, Shanghai Port in China, Yokohama Port in Japan, Vietnam, and Singapore, each presenting their safety, green, digital, and smart port strategies for sustainable port management.


The BPA Southeast Asia office shared the advanced operational status of Busan New Port Terminal 7, a fully automated terminal, and presented Port-i, a blockchain technology-based system for real-time transshipment monitoring and anomaly detection of vessels and cargo, showcasing the advanced operational status of Busan Port.
