From the 13th to the 13th of Next Month,
Public Inspection and Submission of Opinions
Gumi City in Gyeongbuk has strengthened communication with residents to ensure smooth city administration without obstacles in the processes of 'lower-level intentions reaching higher levels (下意上達)' and 'higher-level instructions reaching lower levels (上意下達)'.
Starting from the 13th of this month until the 13th of next month, Gumi City announced that it will conduct a one-month public inspection of the '2030 Gumi Urban Management Plan Revision (Draft)'.
The revision of the urban management plan is a statutory plan established every five years to systematically manage land use zones, districts, and infrastructure throughout Gumi City and to respond to changing conditions.
In particular, it reflects the contents of the '2040 Gumi Urban Master Plan' established last year, concretizing Gumi City's long-term development direction and including measures to improve unreasonable issues arising from changes in urban conditions.
The main contents of the revision (draft) include ▲ fostering regional strategic industries ▲ actualizing areas that do not conform to land use zones ▲ easing long-term excessive regulatory zones. Through this, the city plans to simultaneously promote efficient spatial management and regulatory improvements.
Residents can review related documents at the Urban Planning Division of Gumi City Hall and the Administrative Civil Service Division of Seonsan Branch Office. Residents with opinions can submit them in writing during the public inspection period, and the city will review the received opinions and reflect them in the plan.
After collecting residents' opinions, Gumi City plans to finalize and announce the urban management plan within this year through administrative procedures such as consultations with related organizations, hearing opinions from the city council, and review by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Urban Planning Committee.
Kim Jang-ho, Mayor of Gumi City, said, “We focused on preparing an efficient urban plan that reflects Gumi’s rapid changes and development and minimizes residents’ inconveniences,” and added, “We ask for the active interest and opinions of citizens so that we can create the city’s future together.”
