Accommodation Discount Promotion for Lunar New Year and Donghae Line Tourists
Promoting Tourism Events and Winter Destinations and Cuisine via SNS Channels

Pohang City is partnering with Yanolja, a leading domestic leisure platform, to actively attract tourists visiting Pohang via the Donghae Line, which opened earlier this year, by offering a special accommodation discount promotion for one month during the Lunar New Year holiday period.

Starting from the 15th, customers who book accommodation in Pohang costing over 30,000 KRW through the leisure platform (Yanolja) app will receive a 10,000 KRW discount coupon, and those who book products over 50,000 KRW will receive a 20,000 KRW discount coupon.

Coupons will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis until the prepared quantity is exhausted and can be used until February 15.

This Pohang tourism discount event will also be promoted in collaboration with ‘Travel Crazy’ (Yeohaeng-e Michida), a major domestic travel community media.

During the event period, representative tourist attractions in Pohang such as Yeongildae, Space Walk, Guryongpo, and Homigot, as well as winter delicacies like snow crab, gwamegi, and Pohang mulhoe, will be introduced in a card news format. Promotional videos capturing the charm of Pohang will be produced with influencers and actively promoted across various platforms to showcase Pohang’s flavors and beauty.

To attract tourists following the opening of the Donghae Line, Pohang City has promoted a fam tour for train travel agencies specializing in train travel product development and is conducting SNS quiz events related to the use of the Donghae Line.

Additionally, events are underway where tourists visiting Pohang via the Donghae Line receive Pohang tourism souvenirs at Pohang Station and Wolpo Station. Plans are also in place to offer discounted tourist taxi services to help tourists conveniently visit major attractions in Pohang using the Donghae Line.
