This sponsorship was carried out to support 220 socially vulnerable households in the Busan area, including elderly people living alone and grandparent-grandchild families, by providing shopping expenses for the Lunar New Year (150,000 KRW in Onnuri gift certificates per household) and to contribute to the revitalization of traditional markets and the local economy.

The traditional market shopping event is scheduled to be held before the Lunar New Year at traditional markets in the Busan area, with volunteers from the Korean Red Cross assisting with the shopping.

The sponsorship for the traditional market shopping event, conducted by the Korea Securities Depository and the KSD Sharing Foundation since 2011, has been held in Busan during the Lunar New Year and in Seoul during Chuseok. Up to this year, approximately 690 million KRW has been provided to about 5,600 households.

Lee Sun-ho, Chairman of the KSD Sharing Foundation, said, "We hope our neighbors will welcome a warm and hopeful New Year," adding, "We will continue to strive to practice sharing that supports the local community."
