Opening of '6012' Express Bus Operating Between Hwaseong Dongtan 1 New Town and Pangyo Station

Expectations for Improved Accessibility to Pangyo Techno Valley

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 13th that the '6012' express bus operating between Dongtan 1 New Town and Pangyo Station has started service.

The newly opened route operates from Naru Village in Dongtan 1 New Town to Solbit Village, Daeun Village, Metapolis, Hanbit Village, Yedang Village, and Pangyo Station. The base fare is 2,800 KRW. The bus interval is 20 to 30 minutes, and the travel time between the terminal and the starting point is 40 to 50 minutes.

This route opening is part of the 8th term mayoral election pledges. After a public bid and review in July 2023, Pyeongtaek Bus Co., Ltd. was selected as the operator in November last year. Following the business license approval this month, official operation began on this day.

The city expects that with this new route, bus lines that had been concentrated only on Gangnam Station and Seoul Station will expand to Pangyo Station, significantly alleviating commuting inconveniences for citizens.

Mayor Jeong said, "The opening of the express bus has strengthened accessibility to Pangyo Station," adding, "We will continue to do our best to restore a life with evenings for our citizens."
