System Failure Occurred During System Upgrade for Super App Transition
"Most Services Restored... No Issues with Deposit and Withdrawal Transactions"

On the 13th, Saemaeul Geumgo's mobile application (app) 'MG The Banking' experienced a temporary system failure, causing difficulties in access and inconvenience to customers.


The Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association stated through an urgent notice, "Due to the current system failure, normal transactions are not proceeding," and "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers."


From midnight to 6 a.m. that day, a system upgrade was conducted to enhance the existing app services. However, after the completion of the work, access issues occurred, causing some customers to experience difficulties with deposit and withdrawal transactions since the morning. The system upgrade aimed to integrate the existing simple transaction-focused MG Sangsang Bank and MG Smart Notification apps into MG The Banking.


A representative from the Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association said, "We are currently working on restoring the system failure, and most of the recovery has been completed."
