Uiryeong-gun Holds 'Integrity Declaration Hand Painting' Event

Reaffirming Commitment to Integrity
Everyone Stamps Their Pledge for Integrity

Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 13th that it held a ‘Integrity Declaration Hand Painting’ event, in which everyone from newly appointed public officials to County Governor Oh Tae-wan participated to reaffirm their commitment to practicing integrity in the new year of 2025.


The event, held on the 10th in the 4th-floor conference room of the county office, was conducted under the theme “Integrity Grade 1 Water Uiryeong Made by Our Hands,” where participants stamped their handprints on a banner to pledge their dedication to integrity.

Governor Oh stamped a red mark symbolizing the Honguijanggun Festival with one hand and a yellow mark symbolizing the Buja Festival with the other, wishing for the success of honest festivals.


Thirty-five newly appointed public officials also stamped their handprints, pledging a sincere start to their public service careers.


Meanwhile, Uiryeong-gun achieved a comprehensive integrity rating of Grade 2 for the first time in five years in the ‘2024 Public Institution Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation’ conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. In particular, it received a perfect score of 100 points in the ‘Interest and Effort of the Head of the Institution’ category under integrity efforts, surpassing the average score of basic local government heads by 29.1 points.


Governor Oh urged, “Do not be swayed by the comprehensive integrity results, but always foster a daily culture of integrity that earns the trust of the residents.”
