Yoon In-chon: "We Will Spare No Support for the 80th Anniversary of Liberation Exhibition"

Meeting with 300 Museum and Art Gallery Officials
Minister Yoo In-chon Pledges Support for Cultural Spaces and Commemorative Exhibitions

Yoo In-chon, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, met with over 300 museum and art gallery officials at the National Museum of Korea auditorium on the 13th to exchange New Year's greetings.


Yoon In-chon: "We Will Spare No Support for the 80th Anniversary of Liberation Exhibition"

He promised, "This year as well, we will listen closely to voices from the field and promote policies that can be felt firsthand to ensure that museums and art galleries become representative cultural spaces that live and breathe with the people." He added, "In particular, we will spare no support to ensure the success of exhibitions held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation and the 60th anniversary of the normalization of Korea-Japan diplomatic relations."


Minister Yoo also awarded commendations to those who contributed to the development of museums and art galleries last year. The Presidential Citation was awarded posthumously to Shin Jwa-seop, former director of the Jippul Life Museum. Kim Jeong-gwi (Monk Haeun), director of Woljeongsa Cultural Heritage Museum, Park Dong-gi, head of exhibition planning at Cube Museum under Seongnam Cultural Foundation, and Jang Hwa-jeong, curator at Seoul Sang Sang Nara, received the Prime Minister's Citation.
