On the 14th, Gwangju and Jeonnam will see mostly cloudy skies, and from the afternoon, temperatures are expected to rise above seasonal averages, easing the severe cold.
According to the Gwangju Meteorological Administration on the 13th, most areas of Gwangju and Jeonnam will be affected by a trough of low pressure until the morning, but this influence will gradually diminish in the afternoon.
The morning's lowest temperatures are expected to be -3 degrees Celsius in Boseong, -2 degrees in Gokseong and Jangheung, -1 degree in Jangseong, Damyang, Gurye, Naju, Hwasun, Suncheon, and Goheung, 0 degrees in Gwangju, Haenam, Gangjin, and Gwangyang, 1 degree in Yeonggwang and Hampyeong, 2 degrees in Muan and Jindo, and 4 degrees in Shinan, Mokpo, and Wando.
The day's highest temperatures will be 11 degrees in Gangjin, Wando, Goheung, Suncheon, and Gwangyang; 10 degrees in Yeongam, Jangheung, Boseong, Haenam, and Yeosu; 9 degrees in Gwangju, Naju, Muan, Hwasun, Damyang, Gokseong, Gurye, Jindo, and Shinan; and 8 degrees in Yeonggwang, Jangseong, Hampyeong, and Mokpo, showing a higher distribution than the previous day.
Waves on the sea will reach 0.5 to 1 meter in the West Sea and 0.5 meters in the South Sea. Fine dust concentrations in both Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to fluctuate between 'bad' and 'temporarily bad' levels.
An official from the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration said, "As icy roads and black ice are expected on back roads, alleys, sloped roads, and shaded roads where temperatures remain low, please pay special attention to pedestrian and traffic safety."
