With the increased discount rate, charging 300,000 KRW on the Uijeongbu Sarang Card will provide a benefit (incentive) of 30,000 KRW. This is expected to offer substantial economic benefits to citizens and promote consumption within the region.

In fact, due to enthusiastic purchases by citizens, the issuance amount of incentives for the Uijeongbu Sarang Card in January was exhausted early. More than 3 billion KRW worth of local currency was sold, greatly contributing to the recovery of the neighborhood economy.

The Uijeongbu Sarang Card refers to a gift certificate that aims to revitalize the local economy by stimulating consumption within the region and supporting small business owners. It offers additional benefits (incentives) and year-end tax deduction benefits, making it popular among consumers, and can be used at approximately 13,400 affiliated stores including local restaurants, convenience stores, traditional markets, and academies.

Uijeongbu City is considering raising the discount rate to 10% not only during holidays but also at the end of the year to reduce the financial burden on citizens and help increase sales for small business owners, while exploring various measures to respond to the era of high inflation.
