Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Yoon Kyung-hee) is accepting applications for the 2025 Return-to-Farming Support Project until the 22nd to help returnees settle stably.
This support project consists of two types of subsidy support projects and two types of loan support projects.
The subsidy support projects include the ‘Cheongsong-gun Returnee Support Project’ and the ‘Gyeongbuk Province Returnee Settlement Support Project.’ The support details of the Cheongsong-gun Returnee Support Project per household are ▲4 million KRW for farming settlement funds ▲4 million KRW for housing construction and repair support ▲1.5 million KRW interest support for farmland purchase ▲2 million KRW tax support for farmland purchase ▲300,000 KRW tuition support for returnee education.
The loan support projects include the ‘Returnee Agricultural Startup and Housing Purchase Support Project’ and the ‘Returnee Rural Development Fund Support Project.’ Selected project recipients can receive loans at low interest rates of 1-2%, with up to 300 million KRW for farming funds and up to 75 million KRW for housing funds.
In particular, from this year, the implementation guidelines for the ‘Returnee Agricultural Startup and Housing Purchase Support Project (Loan)’ and the ‘County-funded Returnee Support Project’ have been revised to relax eligibility requirements.
The main revisions include allowing household members, not just the head of household, to apply; establishing exceptions to the requirement of residing in urban areas for more than one year; and permitting employment or startup in other industrial sectors.
