DB Insurance announced on the 13th that it conducted a charity briquette-sharing volunteer activity in the Guryong Village area of Gangnam-gu, Seoul, as its first social contribution activity of the year.
The Love Briquette Sharing is one of the representative social contribution activities of the DB Insurance Promi Volunteer Group and has been carried out annually since 2011. About 140 DB Insurance Promi Volunteer Group employees and their families sponsored 10,000 briquettes for a warm winter on the 11th, and personally delivered 4,000 of those briquettes.

Jung Jong-pyo, CEO of DB Insurance, who attended the event, said, “I participated in the event with joy along with the employees to convey our hearts to neighbors in need of help.”
A DB Insurance official stated, “The funds needed for the Promi Volunteer Group activities are donated directly from employees’ monthly salaries through their participation. The company doubles that amount to create the ‘Promi Heart Fund,’ so even employees who could not attend can share the spirit, making it even more meaningful.”
Since 2006, DB Insurance has launched the Promi Volunteer Group involving all employees and has been carrying out various activities such as supporting underprivileged groups and preventing child traffic accidents. This year as well, the company plans to fulfill its corporate social responsibility through practicing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.
