Neowiz Signs Publishing Agreement with Korean Indie Developer 'Lizard Smoothie'

Neowiz announced on the 13th that it has signed a publishing contract for "Shape of Dreams," which is being developed by "Lizard Smoothie."

Shape of Dreams is a PC game that combines an action genre with a real-time strategy battle system where players target opponents by performing roles unique to each character.

Users can edit the memories of heroes to create their own characters and can play solo or cooperatively with up to four players. It features fast-paced and refreshing action, and offers content such as randomly generated maps, missions, and hidden quests.

Developed by indie game developer Lizard Smoothie, the game released a prologue version containing the early part of the official build on the global PC game distribution platform Steam in November last year. It has attracted attention before its release, with over 300,000 players within two months of its release.

Next month, it plans to participate in the "Next Fest" event held on Steam to showcase an updated demo version, and aims for an official release within the year.

This is the first genre Neowiz will introduce, raising expectations that it will expand their game lineup and become a successful intellectual property (IP).

A Neowiz representative said, "Shape of Dreams is a work that gained popularity from the release of the Steam prologue version due to its novelty and gameplay," adding, "We will actively collaborate with the developer to make it a globally loved indie game."

Meanwhile, Lizard Smoothie is a game developer established in January 2023. Shape of Dreams is their first developed title and has won several domestic awards.
