Neo QLED and Other Major Models Certified by VDE
Also Received 'Glare-Free Verification' from UL Solutions
Samsung Electronics announced on the 13th that its 2025 Neo QLED TV, Lifestyle TV, and other major models have received the 'Eye Care Circadian' certification from VDE, a German testing and certification specialist organization.
The 'Eye Comfort mode,' which has obtained the Eye Care Circadian certification, automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature according to viewing time and environment, providing an optimized viewing experience that aligns with the user's circadian rhythm changes. During the day, it delivers brightness similar to natural light to maintain eye comfort while providing vivid images indoors, and at night, it lowers brightness and color temperature to reduce eye fatigue and create a comfortable sleep environment.

The certification criteria consist of six items, including five Eye Care categories and the CS (Circadian Stimulus) index, which evaluates the impact on circadian rhythms.
The five Eye Care certification items are ▲ Safety for Eyes ▲ Gentle to the eyes (melatonin suppression level) ▲ Flicker harmlessness ▲ Uniformity of image quality ▲ Color Fidelity.
Additionally, Samsung Electronics has continuously been recognized by global certification bodies for excellence in viewing stability, considering user experience such as circadian rhythm-optimized picture quality and glare reduction technology. From the global safety certification organization UL Solutions, Samsung obtained the 'Glare-Free' certification, which comprehensively evaluates reflections, discomfort, and disabling glare from the screen, minimizing eye strain in various viewing environments.
Son Tae-yong, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business, said, "Samsung Electronics' TV obtaining a credible global certification is the result of technological innovation that prioritizes users' eye health and safety beyond simple picture quality improvement. Going forward, Samsung Electronics will continue to lead the TV market by realizing user-centered values based on trusted technology."
