Recruitment of 112 Labor Safety Keepers This Year
Eight More Than Last Year... Final Selection in February
Gyeonggi Province is publicly recruiting organizations to carry out the '2025 Labor Safety Keeper Operation' project for the safety of workers in industrial sites until the 23rd of this month.
The 'Labor Safety Keeper Operation Project' will manage overall operations to ensure that the labor safety keeper projects in each city and county within the province are operated under unified standards.
The selected organization will oversee three main areas: △ hosting various events such as labor safety keeper training, launch ceremonies, workshops, presentation contests (Labor Safety and Health Contest), and meetings △ Labor Safety Day events and promotions △ campaigns to spread industrial safety culture.
In particular, during the monthly 'Labor Safety Day' events, various programs will be conducted in cooperation with the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency and the Ministry of Employment and Labor to raise safety awareness among employers and workers. Additionally, a Labor Safety and Health Contest will be held to select and exhibit outstanding works by soliciting industrial site safety photos and activity essays.
Applicants must be labor-related non-profit private organizations or non-profit corporations with a registered address in the province as of the announcement date, January 9, 2025, and have industrial safety-related project experience within the last three years. After applications are received by the 23rd, the final organization will be selected in February through deliberations by a selection review committee composed of experts and the Gyeonggi Province subsidy review committee.
Applications must be submitted via email; in-person submissions are not accepted. For detailed information about the project recruitment, please check the Gyeonggi Provincial Government website (News - Announcements & Legislative Notices - Notices & Announcements) or contact the Labor Safety Division.
Meanwhile, this year, the number of Labor Safety Keepers will increase by 8 from the previous year to a total of 112. The number of personnel in Suwon, Hwaseong, Ansan, and Gwangmyeong areas will increase, and applications will be accepted until the 24th. Those holding industrial safety certifications or with more than three years of practical experience in safety and health management are eligible to apply. Detailed recruitment guidelines will be announced on the website on the 13th.
Kim Tae-geun, Director of the Gyeonggi Province Labor Bureau, said, "We expect this project to greatly contribute to spreading awareness of labor safety and industrial safety among workers and residents." He added, "We will continue to work on improving safety culture awareness activities free of industrial accidents and strengthen cooperation systems with related organizations to create safe industrial sites."
