Park Jong-jun, Chief of Security Office, Submits Resignation Letter... Park Jong-jun, the head of the Presidential Security Service, who is accused of obstructing the execution of an arrest warrant against President Yoon Seok-yeol, submitted his resignation letter on the 10th. Choi Sang-mok, Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, accepted it.


The Security Service announced through a press release that "Park Jong-jun appeared for a police summons investigation this morning and submitted his resignation letter to Acting President Choi Sang-mok through his secretary.


The spokesperson office of the Ministry of Economy and Finance confirmed the Security Service's announcement, stating, "Director Park submitted his resignation letter, and it has been accepted."


Park, who had refused police summons twice, voluntarily appeared at the police station at 10 a.m. for questioning.


With Park's resignation accepted, it is expected that Kim Seong-hoon, Deputy Director of the Security Service, will act as the head of the Security Service.


Park was booked on charges of obstructing official duties after blocking the execution of an arrest warrant against President Yoon by the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) and the police on the 3rd.
