Promotion of Chungnam Tour Pass with 15 Cities and Counties,
Securing 274 Affiliated Merchants
Chungnam Province announced on the 10th that it has been selected as an excellent institution in the “Outstanding Local Government for Regional Economic Recovery Promotion” competition hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing 200 million KRW in national funding.
The province collaborated with its 15 cities and counties to promote the Chungnam Tour Pass, securing 274 affiliated merchants and selling 34,192 tour passes. This initiative was highly praised for generating a direct economic impact of over 6.2 billion KRW.
The Chungnam Tour Pass is a “free pass” type tourism product that allows visitors to access tourism resources (experiences, food and beverage, accommodation, exhibitions, etc.) located in the 15 cities and counties of the province either for free or at discounted prices.
This year, the province plans to expand the scale of its tourism industry revitalization projects, including the launch of a new “Bay Valley Tour Pass” in partnership with cities and counties in the Bay Valley area of Gyeonggi Province.
Kim Beomsoo, Director of the Chungnam Provincial Office of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated, “2025?2026 will be the ‘Visit Chungnam Years,’ and we will prepare and offer even more attractive tourism products like the Chungnam Tour Pass. We will do our utmost to ensure that every visitor to Chungnam leaves with wonderful memories.”
