Hyundai Unveils DK Edition of Ioniq 5N Developed with Japanese Racer

Developed in Collaboration with Japanese Driver Keichi Tsuchiya
Enhanced Performance with Exclusive Brake Calipers and Pads

Hyundai Motor Company has unveiled a limited edition high-performance electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5 N, developed in collaboration with a Japanese racer for the first time.

On the 10th, Hyundai announced the unveiling of the 'Ioniq 5 N DK Edition' at Japan's largest car tuning expo, the '2025 Tokyo Auto Salon,' held at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center in Tokyo, Japan.

The Ioniq 5 N DK Edition is a model created through collaboration between Hyundai's high-performance dedicated electric vehicle Ioniq 5 N and Japanese racer Keichi Tsuchiya. The "DK" is derived from Keichi Tsuchiya's nickname, "Drift King."

The Ioniq 5 N DK Edition is equipped with exclusive parts including ▲6P monoblock brake calipers precisely machined from duralumin ▲dedicated brake pads with 54% larger surface area and enhanced friction coefficient compared to the standard version ▲21-inch lightweight forged wheels featuring a special serrated machining structure on the wheel and tire seating surfaces ▲and lowering springs that reduce the vehicle's center of gravity.

Additionally, carbon fiber front splitters, side skirts, and rear wing spoilers are applied to increase downforce?the force pressing the body to the road surface?and improve grip, thereby enhancing high-speed driving stability.

Park Jun-woo, Executive Director of Hyundai Motor's N Management Division, said, "The Ioniq 5 N DK Edition was directly evaluated and developed with the involvement of motorsport living legend Keichi Tsuchiya. Through a parts package that combines his driving experience with Hyundai's technology, we aim to provide a special experience to customers who enjoy driving and love high-performance cars."

Keichi Tsuchiya said, "Having experienced the Ioniq 5 N multiple times, I felt surprise and joy each time, and to tune the best high-performance electric vehicle in my own style, I met Hyundai N. Hyundai plans to launch the Ioniq 5 N DK Edition domestically and in Japan in the first half of this year.
