Discussing Measures for Revitalizing the Local Economy

Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Yoon Byungtae) announced on the 10th that it recently held a meeting at the Teachers' Pension Conference Room with relocated public institutions in the Innovation City to discuss measures for revitalizing the local economy.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Mayor Ahn Sanghyeon of Naju City, as well as executives and directors from 15 institutions, including KEPCO, KEPCO KDN, KEPCO KPS, Korea Power Exchange, Korea Rural Community Corporation, Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, Korea Institute of Planning and Evaluation for Technology in Food, Agriculture and Forestry, Korea Rural Economic Institute, National Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Korea Internet & Security Agency, Korea Communications Agency, Arts Council Korea, Korea Creative Content Agency, and Teachers' Pension.
KEPCO KDN emphasized direct cooperation with local businesses by expanding the cafeteria closure program, awarding Naju Love Gift Certificates to employees, and hosting events to encourage visits to local stores.
The Korea Rural Economic Institute also promoted local consumption by distributing Naju Love Gift Certificates and implementing the cafeteria closure program, while the Korea Communications Agency strengthened measures for public welfare by providing free dinner meals to vulnerable groups.
All institutions in attendance agreed on the importance of restoring the local economy and resolved to jointly hold a campaign to revitalize the regional economy in Innovation City on the 14th. They also agreed to actively consider expanding the use and promotion of Naju Love Gift Certificates and the cafeteria closure program.
Deputy Mayor Ahn Sanghyeon stated, "This meeting was a meaningful opportunity for public institutions and Naju City to find practical ways to cooperate for the recovery of the local economy," and added, "We will continue to do our best to stabilize the local economy through ongoing collaboration with public institutions."
