The article <‘Elderly Targeted Coin Scam, Analysis of 126 Petitions’> written by our reporters Kim Min-young and Koo Chae-eun won the ‘1st Planned Reporting Award’ presented by the Korea Anti-Fraud National Association.
The Korea Anti-Fraud National Association praised our coverage, stating, “It provided an in-depth report from the victims’ perspective on the frequently occurring ‘multi-level pyramid scheme scams’ targeting the elderly. The vivid documentation of the victims’ legal battles and protest scenes, along with the attempt to perform morphological analysis on 126 petitions, stood out.”
Additionally, the report by KBS reporter Won Dong-hee titled <[Exclusive] ‘7,000 Victims’ Proxy Lawyer Acts as Perpetrator’s Counsel?... Seoul Bar Association Investigation> received the ‘1st Investigative Reporting Award’.
