Last year, Suncheon National University operated various health management programs for students, including a '12-week Smoking Cessation Clinic' campaign, encouragement of proper eating and lifestyle habits through body composition analysis, and cardiovascular counseling through autonomic nervous system tests.
To improve the health and welfare of its members, Suncheon National University has signed an agreement with Sunjeong Hospital to provide various benefits, including additional examinations, to students and faculty (including immediate family members) who visit the hospital for medical treatment or health checkups.
President Lee Byungwoon stated, "Compared to middle-aged and older adults, university students often neglect health management, but health checkups and disease prevention at each stage of life are very important. We will actively support students so that they can prevent diseases, develop healthy lifestyle habits, and prepare for a safe future."
Heo Soonho, Director of Sunjeong Hospital, said, "As the members of Suncheon National University greatly contribute to the development of the local community, we at Sunjeong Hospital, as part of the community, hope that this agreement will provide practical support for the health promotion and disease prevention of students and faculty."
