Seoul City New Year Staff Assembly... Department Award for 'Climate Companion Card'

"This Year, Achieving Global Top 5 Cities"

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon will hold a New Year's employee assembly with about 400 city employees to reaffirm their commitment for the new year. Mayor Oh delivered a message encouraging everyone to move forward to achieve the city's goal of becoming a 'Global Top 5' city.

On the morning of the 10th, Seoul City announced that it will hold the first employee assembly of 2025 at the Seoul City Hall Multipurpose Hall. Starting with Mayor Oh's special policy lecture, the event will share last year's achievements and pledge new challenges and goals.

In his special lecture, Mayor Oh shared last year's achievements, including ranking 6th in global city competitiveness and receiving a top grade in the comprehensive public institution integrity evaluation, expressing gratitude to the employees. Since the goal of ranking 5th in global city competitiveness is now within reach, he plans to encourage everyone to quietly continue moving toward the future this year as well.

Programs adding fun, such as interviews and skits, were also prepared. In the segment "I Want to Know That, The Secret of Seoul City's Achievements," featuring comedian Hwang Young-jin and Seoul City YouTuber Officer Jung Kyu-hyun, the message conveyed is that the efforts of each employee working at their respective posts have built today's Seoul City. Additionally, a documentary video titled "City Hall 24 Hours," capturing a day in the life of city employees, will be screened.

At the end of the event, Mayor Oh will present awards to departments and employees who contributed to last year's achievements. The Transportation Policy Division and Smart Health Division, which promoted the Climate Companion Card, ranked first in Seoul City's Top 10 News, and the Wrist Doctor 9988, ranked second, will receive commendations. An employee who proposed projects such as "Seouldal" and "Digital Sexual Crime OUT" will receive the Grand Prize for Creative Proposal Execution.
