Additionally, in March and November, ‘Easy-to-Understand Tax Seminars’ will be held to provide a communication platform to resolve residents’ questions about revised tax laws and customized tax-saving tips.

In the welfare and health sector, a Korean medicine clinic was opened on the 3rd floor of the Wonhyo-ro Health Branch Office (329 Baekbeom-ro) earlier this month, improving accessibility to Korean medicine treatments that were previously only available at the main health center.

Also, for cancer patients suffering from hair loss during chemotherapy, 90% of the wig purchase cost will be supported up to a maximum of 700,000 KRW once. Starting in March, the free shingles vaccination target will be expanded from the existing vulnerable groups and seniors aged 75 and over to those aged 65 and over, reducing the economic burden on residents.

In the childcare and education sector, following the opening of the Seoul-style kids cafe ‘Choroksoop Kids Cafe’ (8 Huam-ro 13-gil) in Huam-dong this month, a youth complex cultural space including a study cafe (24 Dokseodang-ro 14-gil) will open in Hannam-dong in February. Including the ‘Yongmun-dong Children’s Library’ (1 Hyochangwon-ro 37-gil) opened last year, the district plans to continuously expand spaces for children and youth.

In the culture and economy sector, from March, basic financial and real estate knowledge and on-site training will be provided to young people (aged 19?39) living or active in the district. Consulting on economic and housing issues, which are major concerns for the younger generation, will also be conducted.

Additionally, the areas supporting parking fees for customers using traditional markets will be expanded. Parking fees will be supported at five locations: Huam Market, Yongmun Market, Itaewon Market, Ichon General Market, and Hangang Shopping Center. This project will continue until the budget is exhausted, and detailed information can be obtained from the respective market merchant associations and management offices.

Projects for everyday safety will also be promoted. To create safer streets, 32 additional Safe Bell Bus Information Terminals (BIT) will be installed at village bus stops within the first half of the year. Furthermore, starting in April, traffic safety education will be conducted by visiting educational institutions in the district. Using VR experience methods, children vulnerable to traffic accidents will be educated to prepare for actual emergency situations.
