"Trying to Sing a Farewell Song with a Bright Smile"
Singer Na Hoon-a takes the stage for his final concert, marking the end of his 58-year singing career.
Na Hoon-a will hold the '2024 Na Hoon-a Thank You - Last Concert' for three days from the 10th to the 12th at the KSPO Dome in Seoul Olympic Park (formerly the Gymnastics Stadium). Since announcing his retirement from the music industry in February last year, he has been bidding farewell to fans across the country through tour concerts in cities such as Daejeon, Gangneung, Andong, Jinju, Incheon, and Gwangju. This Seoul concert will be the grand finale, where Na Hoon-a will put down the microphone on this stage.
Earlier, in October last year, Na Hoon-a said through his agency, "Although it is hard to imagine what kind of feelings I will have on this last stage, which I am experiencing for the first time, my heart is full of the desire to perform even better with enthusiasm as always." He added, "I plan to sing farewell songs with a bright smile. Thank you all. I am grateful."
Na Hoon-a is expected to meet about 70,000 spectators through the Seoul performances. The venue, which can accommodate about 15,000 people per show, will host a total of five performances. During ticket sales held in October last year, all seats were sold out in just five minutes. Currently, tickets for Na Hoon-a's concert are being traded on various secondhand marketplaces at prices three to four times higher than face value.
Meanwhile, since his debut in 1967, Na Hoon-a has consistently released hit songs such as "Musiro," "Jabcho," "Hongsi," and "Mullebanga Doneunde," earning nationwide love. In 2020, during a Chuseok holiday special concert, he showcased his enduring popularity by releasing the new song "Tes-hyung!" He is famous for "picketing" (intense ticket booking battles so fierce that it feels like blood is spilled), comparable to popular idols.
