KD Market Donates Health Supplements for Vulnerable Groups in Dongdaemun-gu

Dongdaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced on January 8 that it received a donation of 500 sets of health supplements (worth approximately 11.5 million KRW) for low-income and vulnerable groups from KD Market (CEO Choi Young-soo) in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

The donation ceremony took place at the Dongdaemun-gu Office Mayor’s Office on the 5th floor, attended by Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, Seo Hyung-won, Chairman of KD Market, and CEO Choi Young-soo.

The donated items consist of 250 sets each of Red Ginseng Extract and Black Balloon Flower Pear Sticks, representative products of Gyeongdong Market, and will be distributed to elderly people in low-income and vulnerable groups.

Seo Hyung-won, Chairman of KD Market, said, “We ask that these items be delivered well to those in need so that our neighbors facing difficulties can spend the holiday healthily and without loneliness,” adding, “Gyeongdong Market will continue to do its best to contribute to the health improvement of Dongdaemun-gu residents.”

Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, expressed his gratitude, saying, “We deeply thank the KD Market officials for practicing precious sharing for neighbors in need during the Lunar New Year,” and added, “We will ensure that the valuable donated items are delivered as warmth and hope to those who truly need them.”

KD Market has been steadily contributing to the local community through sharing activities that began during Chuseok 2022, and plans to continue fulfilling its social responsibility through ongoing donations.
