At the meeting, it was decided to focus on managing and proactively executing budgets related to livelihood stabilization support such as aid for vulnerable groups and small business owners, as well as subsidy projects and small-scale resident demand projects, aiming to execute more than 60% of the target amount for rapid execution in the first half of the year.
To this end, a joint design team for small-scale resident demand projects is being operated early, and the local subsidy management committee and investment review committee will be held in January to advance preliminary procedures. The local contract system for rapid execution will be actively utilized, including emergency bidding, expansion of negotiated contract amounts, advance and progress payments, and shortening various review periods, to execute the budget quickly and efficiently.
Lee Byung-hwan, the mayor of Seongju-gun, expressed a strong determination for early budget execution, stating, “We will start with projects directly related to the local economy and livelihood and promote rapid execution at an unprecedented speed and scale.”
