Police: "No Damage to Passing Vehicles or Citizens"
Two dairy cows that escaped onto the road while heading to a slaughterhouse in Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi Province, were captured and handed over to their owner.
According to the Pyeongtaek Police Station in Gyeonggi on the 9th, at around 9:20 a.m., a 119 emergency call was received reporting "a dairy cow wandering on the road" in the Jangdang-dong area of Pyeongtaek-si.
Police and fire authorities who responded to the report found one dairy cow wandering on Gyeonggi-daero, an 8-lane road, and guided it to the roadside before capturing it with a tranquilizer gun. They then found another dairy cow in a nearby field and captured it using ropes and other means.
Afterwards, the owner was identified, and all captured dairy cows were handed over around 1:20 p.m.
It was determined that the dairy cows had escaped while being loaded onto a truck by the owner en route to the slaughterhouse.
A police official stated, "No damage occurred to passing vehicles or citizens during the escape and capture of the dairy cows."
