Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, was recognized for its contribution to the development of national spatial information through the cadastral resurvey project and was selected as an "Excellent Institution for Cadastral Resurvey Work in 2024," receiving a commendation from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Starting with the Deok-ri 1 district in Cheongsong-eup in 2013, Cheongsong-gun completed projects in a total of 17 districts covering 4,190 parcels by 2024, and the remaining project districts are progressing smoothly.
Currently, with approximately 170 million KRW of national funding secured, the district has designated the Geumgok 1 district in Cheongsong-eup (845 parcels) and is advancing the project. Additionally, through active project promotion such as operating on-site offices for boundary consultations, coordinating boundary adjustments through collaboration with institutions related to national and public land, and providing high-precision drone orthophotos, Cheongsong-gun has greatly contributed to the advancement of cadastral administration and achieved recognition as an excellent institution nationwide.
The cadastral resurvey project is a national initiative to establish a digital cadastre. It aims to correct discrepancies in registered cadastral records, resolve boundary disputes between landowners through boundary adjustments, and enhance land use value by regularizing land shapes.
Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, "This commendation as an excellent institution for cadastral resurvey work is a valuable achievement made possible by the high interest and participation of our residents. I deeply thank the residents who cooperated, and we will continue to do our best in promoting the cadastral resurvey project."
