Park Hyun-joo Foundation Holds Launch Ceremony for Mirae Asset Scholarship Correspondents

The launch ceremony, held on the 8th at the Mirae Asset Center One building in Euljiro, featured the presentation of appointment letters to the correspondents and a special lecture where senior correspondents shared their experiences. Since its inception in 2014, the Mirae Asset Scholarship Correspondent program has involved a total of 325 participants, sharing global experiences and establishing itself as a representative overseas local exchange activity for Mirae Asset overseas exchange scholars.

This group of correspondents consists of 20 members recently selected from the 32nd class of Mirae Asset overseas exchange scholars. They will be dispatched for about six months during the spring semester of 2025 to cover the economy, finance, and culture of their host countries, while also promoting K-culture locally. The content they produce will be released monthly through YouTube videos and Naver Posts.

Park Ji-yoon, a correspondent preparing to be dispatched to the Technical University of Munich in Germany (Pohang University of Science and Technology), said, “I was able to prepare well for my exchange student life through blog posts left by senior correspondents,” and added, “Through this correspondent activity, I will practice sharing information to make my exchange student experience more meaningful.”

A representative of the Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation stated, “The scholarship correspondents have a great opportunity to develop writing and video production skills while expanding their global perspectives,” and added, “We hope they will deliver vivid stories from overseas to help juniors preparing for exchange programs.”

Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2000, the Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation has been leading efforts to support the growth of future generations through various social contribution activities such as domestic and international scholarship programs and youth global cultural experience groups.
