Mokpo Imseong Elementary School fosters students' creativity and artistic sensibility through practical ecological and environmental education, a variety of after-school programs, and care classrooms. On campus, students nurture oak log shiitake mushrooms as companion plants, and the school collaborates with large urban schools to operate joint educational programs such as vegetable garden cultivation.
In particular, after-school programs connected with the local community stand out. The school runs a golf class for all students in partnership with local facilities, and 'Deulnorae' demonstration and experience activities with local seniors have also received positive responses from the school community.
In addition, various programs such as violin, Samulnori, and sports tasking help discover students' talents, and the school holds the 'Imseong Elementary School Star King Arts Festival' every year to share the results of its educational activities.
Superintendent Kim Daejung stated, "The unique educational activities at Mokpo Imseong Elementary School provide an environment where students can grow independently and creatively," adding, "We will continue to focus on creating an educational environment where students can fully develop their dreams and talents."
