KBS Symphony Orchestra Regular Concert at Lotte Concert Hall on the 24th
Eliyahu Inbal Conducts After 2 Years... Han Jaemin Solo Performance
Conductor maestro Eliahu Inbal (89) from Israel, who is 70 years older, and the rising cellist Han Jaemin (19) will share the same stage.
Han Jaemin will perform Shostakovich's "Cello Concerto No. 1" in collaboration at the KBS Symphony Orchestra's 810th regular concert, held at 8 p.m. on the 24th at the Lotte Concert Hall in Jamsil, Seoul.
Born in 2006, Han Jaemin will perform alongside conductor Inbal, who was born in 1936. Inbal will conduct the KBS Symphony Orchestra again after two years since the 787th regular concert in 2023. He is a maestro who has served as principal and chief conductor of prestigious orchestras such as the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra, and Czech Philharmonic.
The first piece in this regular concert will be Mozart's "Symphony No. 25," widely known as the opening music of the film "Amadeus." Symphony No. 25 is one of Mozart's rare minor key works. Composed when Mozart was 17 years old, it features dramatic minor tonal colors and intense energy.
Han Jaemin's collaboration will follow. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Shostakovich's death, drawing particular attention to how he will interpret Shostakovich's piece. Han Jaemin will perform with the KBS Symphony Orchestra again after three months. Last October, he received acclaim for performing Beethoven's Triple Concerto alongside violinist Kim Suyeon at the KBS Symphony Orchestra's 807th regular concert conducted by Chung Myung-whun.
In the second half, Bart?k's "Concerto for Orchestra" will be performed. This piece is a modern reinterpretation of Hungarian folk music's essence, showcasing Bart?k's originality.
Tickets for the KBS Symphony Orchestra's 810th regular concert can be purchased through Interpark and the Lotte Concert Hall.
