Recruitment for First Round Targeting University Students in the Seoul Metropolitan Area... Until the 21st

Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is recruiting '2025 Uljin Dormitory Residents' until the 21st for Uljin residents or their children through the Uljin-gun Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Son Byeong-bok, Governor).

The first round of recruitment targets freshmen or current students at universities located in the Seoul metropolitan area, and the second round will recruit additional applicants who did not apply in the first round as well as regular and additional successful candidates.

If there are still vacant rooms after the second round, recruitment will proceed in the following order: non-metropolitan university students who can commute to Uljin Dormitory, students retaking exams or on leave, graduate students, job seekers, working university (graduate) students, cyber university students, and Korea National Open University students.

Uljin Dormitory is located in Imun-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, with 139 single rooms available. It is equipped with various convenience facilities such as a study room and a fitness center. The resident fees include a 50,000 KRW admission fee, a 200,000 KRW deposit, and a monthly usage fee of 200,000 to 250,000 KRW (differentiated by resident category). Public utility fees are partially exempted for Uljin residents and their children.

Chairman Son Byeong-bok stated, “We have been striving to reduce the economic burden on our residents who are going through difficult times due to high inflation, high interest rates, and employment difficulties, and to help them focus on their studies in a comfortable and stable environment. We will continue to do our best to nurture local talent who will lead the future of Uljin.”
