[Featured Stock] Robotis Rises on Exclusive Supply Contract for Logistics Delivery Robots with Japan's Sensid Robotics

Robotis is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by the news that it has signed an exclusive supply contract for logistics delivery robots with Japan's Sensid Robotics.

According to the industry, Robotis has signed a contract to supply its logistics delivery robot 'Gaemi' to Sensid Robotics.

Among the Gaemi model line, the indoor autonomous robot 'Jipgaemi' applies advanced technology and provides delivery services in wide-area service spaces such as hotels, resorts, and high-rise buildings. With autonomous driving capabilities, it can safely avoid people and objects and navigate to its destination autonomously. Equipped with a robotic arm, it can operate elevator buttons and access security areas based on IC cards. It can carry items weighing up to 30 kg.

It is especially attracting high interest in the Japanese medical field. In February last year, a demonstration test of Jipgaemi was completed at Shonan Kamakura General Hospital in Kanagawa Prefecture, Yokohama City, and demonstration experiments are currently underway at Hakodate Goryoku Hospital and Hakodate Central Hospital located in Hakodate City, Hokkaido.

Robotis also supplies the outdoor delivery robot 'Ilgaemi.' This robot is a deep learning-based autonomous outdoor mobile robot that supports product delivery through a QR code-based smartphone ordering function. It can deliver parcels and food and beverages to urban areas, apartment complexes, hotels, and government offices.

Meanwhile, Robotis is a robot-specialized company established in 1999. LG Electronics invested 9 billion KRW in 2017 and currently holds a 7.4% stake, making it the second-largest shareholder.
