Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Park Cheolhong, hereinafter referred to as Gwangju Sarangui-Yeolmae) announced on the 8th that it received a donation of 40 million KRW for the Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign from the Korea Petroleum Association.
The donation ceremony held the previous day was attended by Park Heungcheol, Secretary General of Gwangju Sarangui-Yeolmae, Kim Yongim, Gwangju City Council member, Moon Palgap, CEO of KidsLala Co., Ltd., Jang Sejong, Chairman of the Dong-gu Community Security Council, Ahn Hyochul, Chairman of the Buk-gu Social Welfare Council, and Yang Cheolwon, Secretary General of the Nam-gu Community Security Council.
The Korea Petroleum Association, through the connection of Chairman Park Joosun, has established a relationship with Gwangju Sarangui-Yeolmae and has been supporting heating oil every year for neighbors in need in the Gwangju area. The donated funds will be distributed to energy-vulnerable households in Gwangju through the Dong-gu Community Security Council, Nam-gu Community Security Council, and Buk-gu Social Welfare Council.
City Council member Kim Yongim stated, "I have heard that the refining industry is also facing management difficulties this year due to the economic downturn," and added, "I hope this support will help neighbors with insufficient heating spend a warmer winter."
Park Heungcheol, Secretary General of Gwangju Sarangui-Yeolmae, said, "We are grateful to the Korea Petroleum Association for practicing such a valuable donation," and added, "Sarangui-Yeolmae will also do its best to ensure that vulnerable groups can have a warm winter."
