Phone Calls and Home Visits to Continue Until March 4
The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that the preliminary attendance rate for prospective elementary school students for the 2025 academic year was 89.1%.
During the two-day preliminary attendance event held on the 2nd and 3rd across 154 elementary schools, 9,075 out of 10,186 prospective students responded.
For students who did not participate in the preliminary attendance, procedures such as phone contact, home visits, or requests for school visits will continue until the enrollment date on March 4.
If the whereabouts or safety of a child cannot be confirmed, the school will request an investigation from the local police station to determine the child's location.
A representative from the Daejeon Office of Education stated, "We will make every effort to ensure that all children eligible for enrollment can safely enter school."
