Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) will issue Eunpyeong Love Gift Certificates worth 12.5 billion KRW at a 5% discounted price starting from 3 PM on the 14th of this month.
This measure aims to actively lead the revitalization of Eunpyeong's economy by alleviating the ongoing consumer contraction sentiment caused by recent high inflation and high interest rates, and the entire amount will be issued early before the Lunar New Year holiday.
The Eunpyeong Love Gift Certificates offer a 5% discount and income deduction benefits upon purchase. The purchase limit is 500,000 KRW per person per month, and the holding limit is 1,500,000 KRW. The certificates can be purchased not only with cash but also with Shinhan Card, and can be used at any Eunpyeong Love Gift Certificate affiliated stores within the district.
To purchase and use the gift certificates, you must download the ‘Seoul Pay+’ app in advance from ‘Google Play’ or the ‘App Store’. To shorten the purchase time, you should register your account or card in advance for account transfer or card payment.
Mayor Kim Mi-kyung said, “I hope that the early issuance of the Eunpyeong Love Gift Certificates this year for the Lunar New Year will help reduce the shopping burden of small business owners and residents in this era of high inflation and high interest rates,” and added, “I hope this issuance will help everyone have a warm and prosperous Lunar New Year holiday.”
