21 Partner Companies Awarded the 'Innovation Award'
The Seoul Metropolitan Government has created the largest-ever Seoul Integrated Pavilion at CES 2025, the world's largest technology exhibition. For the first time during CES, a networking event attended by global companies will also be held.
The Seoul Business Agency announced on the 8th that it will establish a 'record-breaking scale' integrated pavilion of 1,040㎡ (approximately 315 pyeong) at CES 2025 held in Las Vegas, USA, and hold an opening ceremony with 16 startup organizations. The Seoul Integrated Pavilion is operated in cooperation with three autonomous districts?Gangnam-gu, Gwanak-gu, and Geumcheon-gu?five startup support organizations, and eight major universities located in Seoul.
The opening ceremony of the Seoul Integrated Pavilion at CES 2025, held at 10:30 AM on the 7th (local time), saw 16 participating organizations, 104 companies, and 103 supporters declare their aspirations for 'Team Seoul.' Representatives from the CES organizer, CTA, also visited the Seoul Integrated Pavilion booths and observed key technology demonstrations.
In particular, the Seoul Business Agency is promoting the 'Seoul Innovation Forum,' the first global startup networking event during CES, on the 8th at Caesars Palace Hotel. The forum will be attended by over 150 participants, including representatives from Korea and partner countries Japan, Taiwan, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, as well as media. Attendees will watch pitching competitions by 10 startups and freely share key CES agendas and industry trends.
On the 7th and 8th, a 'Tech Tour' will also be conducted at Eureka Park and major exhibition booths at LVCC. Heads of the 16 cooperating organizations participating in the Seoul Integrated Pavilion will tour exhibition halls featuring areas such as autonomous driving, digital transformation, lifestyle, robotic home appliances, and AI autonomous driving, observing technology demonstrations.
Companies supported by the Seoul Integrated Pavilion achieved the highest number of innovation awards (21 companies) ever, continuing last year's record. The Seoul Business Agency provided close support throughout the entire process for winning innovation awards, including reviewing application documents and one-on-one consulting with professional coaches.
Kim Hyun-woo, CEO of the Seoul Business Agency, said, "The CES Seoul Integrated Pavilion project has now established itself not as a one-time event but as a project that provides practical help for companies' global expansion." He added, "We will take the lead in continuously generating results for participating companies through follow-up support projects even after CES."
