Donations and Gifts Pour In from All Walks of Life... Love Temperature Tower Heats Up
Gumi City in Gyeongbuk is adding warmth to the ‘Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign’ thermometer tower with warm sharing from all walks of life in the new year.
Gumi City announced on the 7th that the staff of Gumi Cha Hospital (Director Kim Jae-hwa) collected and donated 5.86 million KRW through small contributions, and the Gumi Cha Hospital Hanmaeum Volunteer Association (President Choi Seung-pil) also donated 1 million KRW gathered from the sincerity of its members.

Gumi Agricultural Cooperative (Chairman Lee Jeon-kwang) donated 300 bags of 10kg rice (worth about 8.4 million KRW) produced locally this year as well as last year. The Gumi Nonghyup Women’s Alumni Association (President Lim Chu-yeon) raised funds by selling rice cake soup rice cakes and burdock, and prepared 200 bags of 10kg rice (worth about 5.6 million KRW) to be delivered to vulnerable groups.
iM Bank Gyeongbuk Headquarters (Head An Hyung-jun) donated 250 Bravo Beaver coffee drip bags and 200 Bravo tin cookie sets (totaling about 20 million KRW), which are products made by people with developmental disabilities, as well as 6,000 hot packs (worth about 3 million KRW). iM Bank is also contributing to job creation for people with disabilities through equity investment in Bravo Beaver.
Park Yeon-hong, head of the Sangmo Sagok-dong branch of the Gumi Cultural Center, donated about 100 pairs of sneakers and about 20 winter padded jumpers (worth about 7.2 million KRW), and the items will be distributed to low-income vulnerable groups through the Food Market and Food Bank.
Gumi Mayor Kim Jang-ho said, “We are grateful for the warm sharing for the local community in the new year as well,” and added, “The donated money and goods will be delivered to those in need.”
Meanwhile, Gumi City is conducting the ‘Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign’ until January 31, with a target amount of 1.117 billion KRW. Individuals, organizations, and companies wishing to donate can inquire at the Welfare Policy Division of City Hall or the nearest eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare center.
