This remodeling project focused on improving the aging kitchen of the in-house cafeteria, including replacement of flooring, wall tiles, piping, heating and cooling systems, and expansion of kitchen ventilation facilities.
Additionally, the break and office spaces for cafeteria staff were remodeled, enhancing not only the quality of meals but also the working environment for Poswell employees.
To celebrate the reopening of the Technology Research Institute cafeteria after about three months, Pohang Steelworks held a special meal event.
For the reopening special meal, employees were served differentiated menu items from the regular cafeteria offerings, such as tuna sashimi rice bowl and Texas barbecue pork belly platter. A lottery event with various prizes including massage guns and humidifiers was also held for cafeteria users.
This cafeteria remodeling was carried out as a follow-up project to the ‘CEO 100 Days On-site Accompaniment’ initiative.
Pohang Steelworks is also fully renovating the Seongangdae Cafeteria and Rolling Mill Cafeteria to create a pleasant dining environment and improve employee satisfaction, with completion scheduled for January and March of this year, respectively. The company plans to continue projects aimed at improving the working environment for Pohang Steelworks employees in the future.
