Ministry of Science and ICT to Host Digital Youth Talent Talk Concert at CES 2025

Held at 5 PM on the 7th in Las Vegas, USA
Providing a platform for sharing and exchanging CES information

The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 8th that it held the 'Digital Youth Talent Talk Concert@CES 2025' at 5 PM (local time) on the 7th at the Harrah's Hotel in Las Vegas, USA, hosted by the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning and Evaluation (IITP).


Now in its second year, the talk concert was planned to provide digital youth talents with global digital technology trends and key points to watch at CES 2025, and to create a platform for mutual exchange encouraging global challenges and growth.

The theme, 'Valuable Challenges, Growing Future! The Energetic Story!' conveys the meaning that digital youth talents should continuously challenge themselves to expand their capabilities and create new value.


The program included presentations of success stories by outstanding participants in the digital talent development project, sharing of CES 2025 trends, and panel talks. About 200 digital youth talents from university ICT research centers (ITRC), AI graduate schools, and software-centered universities participated in the event.


The event began with an encouragement speech by Jeon Young-su, Director of Information and Communications Industry Policy at the Ministry of Science and ICT, and an opening address by Hong Jin-bae, President of IITP. Afterwards, the current status and achievements of the digital talent development project were introduced, followed by presentations of success stories by outstanding participants.


The success stories were categorized according to the characteristics of the support projects into advanced, global, and creative talents, consisting of challenges in producing innovative R&D outcomes, growth through education and collaboration at leading global universities, and global market penetration and survival stories of startup companies.


Jung Hye-dong, AI PM at IITP, shared the latest trends in key fields of CES 2025 and highlighted technologies and products to watch to enhance participants' understanding ahead of the CES 2025 exhibition visit.


The panel talk was held under the theme 'The Power for Developers' Growth and Development! What Makes Outstanding Talents Different.' Park Jung-hyun, CEO of VBridge, a SW Maestro startup exhibiting at Eureka Park; Ahn Jae-man, CEO of VeslEye; and two engineers from global Silicon Valley companies 'Palo Alto Networks' and 'Meta' participated in the panel talk to share their experiences and know-how.


Jeon Young-su, Director of Information and Communications Industry Policy at the Ministry of Science and ICT, stated, "The Ministry is focusing on nurturing high-level talents who will lead the AI era, including AI, AI semiconductors, and AI convergence, and is expanding global talent development through cooperation with leading overseas universities and companies. In the era of digital deepening, we will strengthen Korea's digital competitiveness by cultivating core digital talents, which have become more important than ever."
