Megazone and Bespin Hire CEOs from Big Tech
MSP Market Competition Heats Up Among Large Corporations
Mission to Secure New Growth Engines Like AI Business
Megazone Cloud and Bespin Global, leaders in the domestic cloud management service (MSP) market, have both appointed executives from global big tech companies. Their mission is to find new growth engines through artificial intelligence (AI) services. Analysts say that major conglomerate IT service providers are entering the MSP market to seek new opportunities.
According to the IT industry on the 8th, Megazone Cloud recently appointed Yeom Dong-hoon, former head of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Partner Division, as its new CEO. CEO Yeom previously served as the first CEO of AWS Korea and CEO of Google Korea.
Along with the CEO change, the organizational structure was also reorganized. The company’s founder, former Megazone Cloud CEO Lee Joo-wan, took the position of chairman of the board, and former AWS Business Division head Hwang In-cheol was appointed Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

Bespin Global appointed Heo Yang-ho, former executive director of Oracle Korea, as its new Korea CEO. Heo recently oversaw Oracle Korea’s Enterprise Business Division. Prior to that, he worked at foreign IT companies such as Symantec (Veritas) Korea and BEA Systems Korea.
The reason both companies reorganized their leadership is to expand their AI new business ventures. At the end of last year, Megazone Cloud launched a new version of 'GenAI360,' a generative AI construction and management platform, and began full-scale operations. The company explained that with CEO Yeom’s appointment, it plans to actively expand new businesses based on generative AI services. Bespin Global is also aiming to expand its AI business centered on the large language model (LLM)-based AI agent platform 'HelpNow AI.'
The reason MSP companies are strengthening new businesses is due to intensifying market competition. As cloud adoption increases in private companies and public institutions, large conglomerate IT service affiliates have also entered the MSP business. CJ OliveNetworks recently obtained the AWS certification 'DevOps Consulting Competency,' certifying its ability to provide cloud services more professionally. Through this, it aims to expand its MSP business not only within group affiliates but also externally. Hyundai AutoEver has also acquired AWS’s 'Premier Tier Partner' status and is expanding its MSP business. The Premier Tier Partner status recognizes expertise in cloud technology and experience in managing large-scale projects. The IT service big three?Samsung SDS, LG CNS, and SK C&C?have solidified their positions in the MSP market by restructuring their businesses from system integration (SI) to cloud and logistics several years ago.
An industry insider said, "As the cloud market grows, large players are entering. Existing MSP leaders will compete by advancing their services and targeting enterprise-level customers."
