Reform New Party, All Three Spokespersons Resign... Heo Eun-a's Leadership Shaken

All three spokespersons of the Reform New Party have announced their intention to resign.

Kim Jeong-cheol, the chief spokesperson of the Reform New Party, explained on the afternoon of the 7th through his Facebook that he, along with spokespersons Lee Eun-chang and Ha Heon-hwi, conveyed their resignation to Representative Heo Eun-ah.

Chief spokesperson Kim said, "Today, our entire spokesperson team has decided to resign," adding, "Although the voices of the spokespersons will pause for a while, the values and beliefs of the Reform New Party will continue."

This means that all three spokespersons resigned just fifteen days after Representative Heo formed a new spokesperson team. Kim Min-gyu, who joined the spokesperson team on the 23rd of last month, resigned immediately after his appointment.

Previously, the internal conflict within the Reform New Party was triggered last month when Representative Heo dismissed Secretary-General Kim Cheol-geun and others.

At that time, the Reform New Party staff labor union criticized in a statement, "Since Representative Heo was elected, the seven months of continuous absence of vision and strategy, and the politics of 'prioritizing the individual over the party' have led to today's situation."

Assemblyman Lee Jun-seok sharply remarked, "A person who has voluntarily placed themselves in an isolated position should take responsibility and resolve the issue."
