Sangmyung University Closes Regular Admission Applications for 2025 Academic Year... "Highest Competition Rate in the Last 4 Years"

Sangmyung University announced on the 7th that the final competition rate for the 2025 regular admissions reached 5.21 to 1, marking the highest competition rate in the past four years.

According to Sangmyung University, 5,606 applicants applied for the regular admissions, which selects 1,075 students. By campus, the Seoul Campus had 2,865 applicants for 565 spots, resulting in a competition rate of 5.07 to 1, while the Cheonan Campus had 2,741 applicants for 510 spots, showing a competition rate of 5.37 to 1.

Regarding the highest competition rates, at the Seoul Campus, the Family Welfare Department under the Na group of the regular admissions selection had 68 applicants for 8 spots, recording a rate of 8.50 to 1. At the Cheonan Campus, the Department of Arts, Theater Major (Acting) under the Na group of the practical skills and achievements selection had 69 applicants for 5 spots, recording a rate of 13.80 to 1.

Sangmyung University plans to announce the successful candidates of the regular admissions on its website starting February 7.
