Actress Go Hyun-jung, who had recently experienced a decline in health, announced that she has safely undergone surgery and is currently recovering. On the 6th, Go Hyun-jung shared several photos on her social media (SNS) appearing to be recovering in a hospital room, stating, "Sorry for causing concern. I have recovered a lot." The photos showed Go Hyun-jung lying in a hospital bed wearing patient clothes, eating rice gruel with a gaunt face, and smiling brightly at the camera.

Go Hyun-jung said, "Now I am eating well and meeting close acquaintances," adding, "I was in so much pain that even I was surprised, but after safely finishing the major surgery, I am coming to my senses." However, she did not disclose specific details such as the exact diagnosis. She continued, "I will be careful and take good care of myself. The first photo is how I look today." The 'first photo' she mentioned was a selfie showing her smiling brightly while making a V sign with her thumb and index finger on her chin. Finally, Go Hyun-jung sent her regards to fans, saying, "I love you all. I sincerely bow my head in gratitude for your support and concern."

Earlier, on the 16th of last month, Go Hyun-jung first revealed her health deterioration by not attending the production presentation of the Genie TV original drama 'Namibeu' (Namib). At that time, her agency explained, "Actress Go Hyun-jung was unable to attend due to a sudden decline in health," adding, "This was based on medical advice that absolute rest and recovery were necessary." The agency further stated, "She collapsed several times on set," and "She endured it with willpower but eventually had to visit the emergency room today."

Go Hyun-jung also mentioned her health issues last year on the YouTube channel 'Yojong Jaehyung.' Even then, she did not disclose the exact diagnosis. She said, "I was so sick that I couldn’t even get a health checkup," and "Two hospitals cooperated in my treatment, and I thought I would get better, but I collapsed while walking and told passersby, 'I am Go Hyun-jung, please help me.'" She added, "(After treatment) I have improved a lot and continue to visit the hospital regularly and take medication."
