Applications Accepted Until the 31st... Up to 20 Million Won Support Per Farm
Gochang County in North Jeolla Province is accepting applications for the 'Rural Development Loan Interest Support Program' until the 31st.
According to the county on the 7th, this program provides low-interest loans to local farmers and those engaged in forestry, livestock, and fisheries to expand agricultural production infrastructure tailored to the characteristics of the region.
Previously, the county supported 3.819 billion KRW in loans to 341 households engaged in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and livestock industries residing in the county last year.
Eligible applicants are those who have their official address in the county and are engaged in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, or livestock industries as of January 1, 2025. Non-agricultural workers are excluded from eligibility.
The loan terms are a 1% annual interest rate with a one-year grace period and equal repayment over two years, with a maximum limit of 20 million KRW per household.
After receiving applications, the county will verify income and other eligibility requirements and plans to provide the loans to selected applicants starting from the middle of next month.
County Governor Sim Deokseop said, "We are providing this support to help local farmers establish a self-sustaining agricultural foundation and stabilize agricultural management," adding, "We will spare no effort in supporting agriculture, the county's main industry."
