Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) is significantly strengthening quarantine activities to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, focusing all efforts on protecting bereaved families and mourners visiting Muan International Airport and the memorial altar following the Jeju Air passenger plane accident.


According to the county on the 7th, masks and hand sanitizers have been placed throughout the airport and memorial altar, the movement of mourners has been streamlined to minimize crowding, and systematic measures such as regular disinfection are being implemented to prevent infectious diseases.

On the 6th, the disaster relief shelter on the first floor of the airport, where the bereaved families had stayed, was relocated to the second floor, and thorough disinfection was carried out in 115 areas of the first and second floor waiting rooms and the disaster relief shelter.


In addition, frequently touched surfaces such as handrails and chairs are being disinfected regularly, and 140 bottles of spray-type disinfectant were distributed to the Jeonnam Volunteer Center and the airport corporation to support on-site quarantine efforts.


Governor Kim San stated, "We will strengthen disinfection and quarantine until the accident recovery is complete," and urged, "For the prevention of infectious diseases such as influenza, we ask mourners to thoroughly observe personal hygiene, including wearing masks."
