Park Jong-jun, Chief of the Presidential Security Service, stated on the 7th that he is "unable to attend today" in response to the second summons from the Police Martial Law Special Investigation Unit due to "not having appointed a lawyer."

The Security Service conveyed this through a press release on the same day, saying, "We plan to appoint a lawyer and coordinate the schedule within today or tomorrow."

The Police Martial Law Special Investigation Unit had requested Park, the Chief of the Security Service, to appear for the second time by 10 a.m. that day, but he did not comply again.

Earlier, the police had requested his first appearance on the 4th, but Park refused, stating, "Due to the critical period related to presidential security duties, I cannot leave my post even for a moment."

Park is under investigation for allegedly obstructing the execution of an arrest warrant against President Yoon Seok-yeol by the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials on the 3rd, charged with special obstruction of official duties.
