Whole Cake Sales Also Increase by 145%
Hollys announced on the 7th that the sales volume of whole cakes launched during the holiday season increased by 199% in December last year compared to the previous year.
In November last year, Hollys released a two-tier whole cake called ‘Strawberries Are at the Party’ in line with the holiday season. It features a rich and smooth cheese mousse topped with plenty of fresh strawberry pur?e, creating a soft sweetness that melts in your mouth. Additionally, it received praise for its taste and visual appeal by generously topping it with white glaze resembling snow and the most delicious domestic Seolhyang strawberries in winter, capturing consumers' hearts at the end of the year.
This cake's sales volume more than doubled compared to the ‘Hollybear Winter Cake’ launched during the holiday season a year ago. A Hollys representative said, "As a result, the total sales volume of whole cakes in December grew by 145% compared to the same period last year, successfully expanding Hollys' presence in the whole cake market."
Hollys plans to carefully analyze the success of Strawberries Are at the Party and introduce various cakes that make full use of fresh fruit. Since Hollys has already been recognized as a ‘fruit specialty store’ by releasing various beverages using seasonal fruits every season, the fresh fruit cakes to be introduced in the future are also expected to attract much attention.
