Dongjak-gu to Hold New Year Work Report Meetings in 15 Neighborhoods Starting from the 10th

Dongjak-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced on the 7th that it will hold the 'Dong Business Report Meeting' from the 10th to the 21st of this month. The 'Dong Business Report Meeting' is an occasion where Mayor Park Il-ha meets residents directly to share New Year's greetings, discuss the direction of district development, and listen to opinions on local issues. About 250 people, including the mayor, city and district council members, heads of related organizations, neighborhood leaders, and residents, are expected to attend from each dong.

This month, the meetings will be held sequentially in 15 dongs: on the 10th in Noryangjin 1·2-dong and Daebang-dong; on the 13th in Sadang 1·4·5-dong; on the 15th in Heukseok-dong and Sadang 2·3-dong; on the 17th in Sangdo 1·2·4-dong; and on the 21st in Sangdo 3-dong and Sindaebang 1·2-dong.


The business report meetings begin with presentations of self-governing community center programs planned and produced directly by residents of each dong, along with cultural performances by clubs. This is followed by awarding certificates of appreciation to distinguished residents and thank-you plaques to sponsors who participated in the Warm Winter Campaign for neighbors in need.


After the award ceremony, the 'Dong Business Report' proceeds in earnest. Attendees can receive detailed explanations about this year's major district policies and dong-specific projects. Any Dongjak-gu resident can attend, and during the subsequent 'Dialogue with Residents' session, various opinions and suggestions can be freely expressed. The district plans to actively reflect the residents' opinions collected in the operation of district administration.


Mayor Park Il-ha said, "This year will be one where we show tangible changes that will transform the map of Dongjak." He added, "We will continue to communicate tirelessly to complete Dongjak as a city of the highest value where residents feel pride."
